Tutoring, English And Math (TEAM) Center

Goal:  Helping people learn to help themselves through needs assessment, focused training, and both individualized and group assistance.

Mission:  To provide full access to a wide range of support services and training opportunities to college students or transitional adult learners in an effort to enable them to achieve their individual academic or vocational goals.

Primary Methods:

  • A Developmental Studies course sequence responsive to the skill development training needs of college-enrolled students with identified skill deficiencies in (basic) Reading, English, or Math. Individual skills and needs assessment

  • College sponsored entry skills testing of all (COMPASS testing, G.E.D., and Learning Style Inventories) freshmen for course advisement and placement purposes.

  • College tutorial services

  • Special accommodation provision for qualified disabled students.

  • Student advisement and service or training referral assistance.

  • Student centered policies and processes supported by well qualified instructors and staff.
