NEW! Web-Based Associate of Arts Degree!!

What is an ASSOCIATE OF ARTS degree?

This program will provide all the “basics” for students so they can transfer easily to a four-year degree institution. The Associate of Arts degree majors in humanities and social sciences.

What is a WEB-BASED degree?

An online degree is the same as any other degree from NMSU—only your classes are delivered over the Internet with one required face-to-face meeting at the beginning of the program. There may be students from all over the world in your classes, which opens up new perspectives and learning opportunities. It also means you can still work and go to school at the same time. You will need to be self-disciplined, but you can get your degree while juggling the many roles of your life.

What do I need to SUCCEED in this program?

You need to be a self-motivated person who has a computer. That’s it! It helps if you have high-speed Internet access, but dial-up is entirely suitable. You should be comfortable with the Microsoft Office Suite, also, and have it installed on your computer. Then just get ready to learn and grow!

How do I START?

The first cohort of students is limited to 20 students and will begin in August of 2007, so you need to get your name on the list as soon as possible. You need to take your placement tests and place into college level English, Reading and Math or have completed all your developmental coursework. Title V Co-Op staff will help you with your paperwork and admissions information, so just call!
