Comma Usage

Comma usage is a problem for almost everyone at one time or another. Here are
some general rules that will help you decide when a comma is needed.
Use a comma to separate the following:
1. Words in a series
The children brought swimsuits, shovels, and
buckets to the beach party.
2. Phrases in a series
The constitution calls for government of the
people, by the people, and for the
people.
